It is December the 2nd, and I am sat in my office playing Christmas music with a sparkle in my belly. This week has been one of creating moments of magic and noticing beauty. Days can become monotonous far too quickly, and I don’t want my life to pass by without spark and enchantment! I wish that a fairytale would bring them to me, but I don’t need a knight in shining armour to make my dreams come true. I will grab my sword, mount my horse, and I will make it happen myself.

On Sunday night, when perhaps I should have been having an early night (I planned to be in my car before sunrise the next day), I was out on the hunt for Christmas lights! Wembley Park was presenting the work of several digital designers, and the outcome was beautiful and impressive. I stood under and inside a huge tree watching the lights twinkle and change colour. I stepped into a golden, glittering Christmas present. I danced in front of the digital shadow wall and then finally I finished the night sat in a desert parlour with great company, eating indulgent ice cream! It would have been so easy to stay in that night. It was cold and dark, and I had an early start the next day, but thank goodness for the desire for magic being so strong! I must always remember how important this is. I must remember that it is ok to stay in sometimes, but if there’s a chance of magic, it needs to be grabbed with both hands!

I feel like my eyes have been open wide to beauty this week. The fox trotting up the street at dusk, the sparkle of frost on trees and grass, the tiny baby snuggled in a ski suit to name just a few. Today while I worked, I noticed a pink glow on my office wall and jumped to my feet to see a stunning, pink and orange sunset! Within seconds and wearing my emoji poo slippers, I was outside, shivering but breathing in the beauty! There is beauty everywhere. It’s always there, hiding in the sky, dancing in the trees or blowing in the wind. My eyes and heart are open and ready to see more.
